Holi usually marks the welcoming of spring, fertility, harvest, and bright colors in the world after the dullness of winter. Holi is the day to bid goodbye to problems and animosities. The biggest enemies and foes turn into friends on this blessed day. Many celebrate by lighting deva, offering a coconut to Holika. Holika represents the triumph of light and goodness over darkness and evil. Some do pheras around the Holi fire and many apply gulaal on each other's faces. Hence, the celebration and tradition are called 'Holi Milan'.
Important Note:
Please use your good judgement when you are planning to join for Holi Celebration.
Everyone is at risk of getting COVID-19 if they are exposed to the virus. Some people are more likely than others to become severely ill, which means that they may require hospitalization, intensive care, or a ventilator to help them breathe, or they may even die. We ask members at higher risk of severe illness to limit their exposure risk by remote participation.
If you plan to be present at the Holi Celebration, it is implied that you assume all the risks involved with attending such an event.
Sincerely,
LPS Committee.
